Veteran's Day Program 2025

Each year Andersonville Elementary School students and staff are privileged to honor our local veterans. This year was no different. Andersonville Elementary invited the community to attend our Veteran’s Day program on November 12, 2025. The staff and student body prepared several contributions to recognize the veterans’ service to our country. Under the direction of Ms. Butler, third grade students dedicated multiple songs to our veterans. Several fourth-graders recited their original works of poetry. Finally, fifth-grade presented essays from interviews with veterans that they prepared in gratitude to the service men and women. We also wanted to take a moment to recognize each branch of the military. In order to do this, we asked each group of veterans to stand as their branch’s anthem played. We were honored to have members from each branch in attendance. Not only is this an opportunity to honor the veterans in our community, it is an opportunity to show our students who our local veterans are and what it actually means to serve and sacrifice for the benefit of our nation. After the ceremony, veterans and their guests were invited to attend a breakfast provided by staff for a time of fellowship.  Andersonville Elementary would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all veterans for their sacrifices to uphold our constitutional rights and freedoms.
